We are looking for an administrator who wants to make a real difference by working as part of small team, predominantly for the Community Intravenous Administration Service but also within the wider admin team at Chapeltown Health Centre.

This post is perfect for a well-motivated administrator who is passionate about caring for our patients. An adaptable person who can work well on their own, and part of a team, is desired. A problem-solver and personable character will fit into our team perfectly. As a team we are committed to providing a service of high-quality care to the community we serve.

You will be required to work flexibly within this team, supporting clinical staff and patients in an administrative role. Good written and verbal communication skills are essential. IT skills & knowledge are also essential.

The Community Intravenous Administration Service (CIVAS) is a citywide nurse led team. The service supports the early discharge of patients from Leeds Teaching Hospital Trust (LTHT) and works in partnership with the OPAT (Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy) service at LTHT, enabling patients with skin, soft tissue, bone and joint infections to be discharged from hospital earlier to continue their intravenous antibiotic treatment either at home or in an outpatient setting at a community clinic.

You will be a key part of the team, working closely with admin and clinical colleagues on a day to day basis. Knowledge of SystmOne would be advantageous but full training will be given. You will be organised and comfortable using your initiative to make service improvements.

Some key examples of the role would be email management, diary management and liaising with staff to ensure the service runs as smoothly as possible. The administrator is an integral part of the team.

The service operates from 7am to 9pm daily, 7 days a week. The working conditions within this role is split between the office at Chapeltown Health Centre and remote working, Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm.

This post is fixed term for 12 months to cover secondment.
