Health Care Assistant Market Harborough Stroke ward 1

We now have an exciting opportunity to join our friendly ward team at Ward 1 Stroke Market Harborough. We are seeking a flexible, energetic person with good communication skills and a desire to make a difference.

Ward 1 Market Harborough staff predominantly care for stroke rehabilitation patients and also has some patients with a wide range of health care needs including sub-acute medicine, rehabilitation and palliative care.

The role

The principle role of the Healthcare Assistant is to assist the healthcare team in the provision and delivery of programmes of patient care. This includes:

  • Taking physical measurements from named patients users as delegated by the team;
  • Supporting patients in maintaining their health and wellbeing;
  • Undertaking specified and delegated clinical and therapeutic activities;
  • Under the supervision of healthcare professionals assist the healthcare team with the provision of clinical care;
  • Ensuring high standards are maintained in a safe environment, which promotes equality and sensitivity for all individuals;
  • Assisting Registered Professionals in the implementation and evaluation of individualised care plans; and
  • Accurately recording patient information.

We are looking for candidates already working in this area within a ward or care setting or can demonstrate transferable skills.

This is a full time/part time post working in a 24/7 environment. All posts are rotational. Additionally, we offer free parking on all our sites.

For areas where our teams work to staffing rosters, these are set in advance at a team level and you will join an established roster. Your rostered shifts will be confirmed to you when arranging your start date.
