Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and organised trainer for our Mental Health Services in the Portsmouth area that is looking to work part time as a Physical Interventions Lead Trainer.

You must be a level one PMVA instructor with effective training skills with the ability to present and communicate comprehensive training packages.

Knowledge of Mental Health Services in an Inpatient setting is essential.

Service Summary

Solent’s Mental Health Services cover a variety of different services including inpatient facilities for both adults and older persons, community services including rehab, crisis and health and wellbeing, IAPT Talking Change and learning disabilities. We are looking for people that work to the organisational Values of Honesty, Everyone Counts, Accountability, Respect and Teamwork (HEART), show in your behaviour that you value people and the care you give to them.

Job Responsibilities

You will organise and lead the provision of PMVA training across the Trust and other partner organisations, ensuring maintenance of health and safety and best practice during the delivery. You will deliver training to new starters and existing staff to ensure competency. You will be involved in the development of PMVA procedural plans and have knowledge of potential issues and risks.

You will be able to deal with staff at all levels and have excellent leadership skills with the ability to present and communicate comprehensive training packages whilst explaining details and procedures. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who can work effectively using their own initiative.

Personal Skills/Qualities

  • Level 1 PMVA Instructor
  • First Aid trained
  • Effective trainer
  • Experience of a Mental Health Inpatient setting
  • Able to deal with people of all levels and from different backgrounds
