JOB TITLE:Senior Mental Health Practitioner/Nurse DBT Specialist

HOURS OF WORK: 37.5

BASE:Horizon Building, CAMHS, Southampton

RELOCATION:Relocation expenses can be offered to successful candidates who meet the criteria as set out in the trust policy.

Southampton CAMHS has a DBT pathway for young people that offers DBT consult for practitioners, a weekly DBT skills group and weekly 1 to 1 therapy alongside this. We are looking for a highly motivated skilled practitioner with an interest in DBT to help us expand this pathway to include support for parents and carers. You will work alongside the Nurse Consultant and DBT trained practitioners in the Speciality CAMHS, YOS and BRS teams to help support and embed this pathway within the service. 0.6 WTE of the role will be dedicated to DBT while 0.4 WTE of the role will be used to support the functions of the Core CAMHS work within the team.

This position calls for a professional with significant experience of working with children, young people and their families experiencing mental health and trauma difficulties. We are looking for a practitioner with significant senior practitioner/leadership experience within a CAMHS setting. In all cases, you must be able to demonstrate the clinical, consultation and communication skills needed to offer an outstanding service.

You will be working alongside an established CAMHS team at an important time in our development. It really is an exciting time to be joining Southampton CAMHS as we push forward with implementing new ways of working in order to best meet the needs of the population we work with. We are looking for a Mental Health Practitioner/ Nurse who can lead by example and truly engage with service users, colleagues and stakeholders.
