We have a rare opportunity to appoint a permanent, enthusiastic and highly motivated Band 7, Ward Manager at Lymington New Forest Hospital.


Lymington is unlike most community hospitals as it has its own Medical Admissions Unit, acute medical wards, as well as rehabilitation services within our footprint of 68 in-patient beds. The hospital has strong links with University Hospitals Southampton, supporting inpatient care and outpatients services. We proudly offer a unique service to its local population and wider community. It has a small feel, but delivers a big impact!


The post holder will take responsibility for the two adjoining 12 bedded acute medical wards. This will include overseeing quality and safety, staffing, clinical development of the team, service improvement and providing a high quality outcome based service.


The successful post holder will be supported by and work alongside our senior leadership team, business partners, other ward managers, medics and also the wider MDT. In house support around work force, patient flow and clinical education are in place.
