Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT) provides a range of community health, mental health and learning disability services for people of all ages. Delivered through over 100 settings from inpatient wards to out in the community, our 6,500 staff serves over 1m people living in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.


Service Co-ordinator – Single Point of Access Contact Centre, Leicestershire Partnership Trust Community Health Services Division, is looking to appoint Band 3 SPA Service Coordinators for our Single Point of Access (SPA) Contact Centre.

We are committed to providing the highest standards of customer care for Patient’s, Carers and Health Care Professionals that access the SPA service.

The post involves coordinating and managing patients and professionals through defined pathways to enable patients to see the right person, at the right time and in the right place and aims to provide a central point for all referrals/information/advice and signposting for Community Health Services for Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

Successful candidates will have excellent communication skills and the ability to deal effectively and sensitively to the complex range of calls taken, including calls from patients, Carers and their families.

We are seeking flexible individuals who have the ability to prioritise, organise workloads effectively and have the skills to participate in partnership working with a wide range of healthcare professionals.

You will be part of a dynamic team, focused on delivering quality patient focused customer care.

The service operates 7 days per week over 365 days and therefore the post requires the candidate to be fully flexible and able to cover all shifts.

We are looking to recruit people who meet the person specification for the role as it reads.

The candidate would be required to work, on a regular basis, a variety of shift patterns in order to meet the needs of the service. Candidates will also need to work a minimum of 22.5 hours per week. Flexible working requests will be considered. This is an exciting time to join us as we are developing the service to meet the needs of our local population.

As a separate exercise if we do not fill all our roles we will consider whether there are applicants who would be suitable for training contracts in the team. If this is the case we will explain what this means when we invite you to interview.

It is a statutory requirement for roles that involve work in care homes that staff are up to date with their Covid vaccination status to be able to work in that environment, unless the person has a valid medical exemption. Where a role requires this, they will need to demonstrate that they meet this requirement during the recruitment process.

For areas where our teams work to staffing rosters, these are set in advance at a team level and you will join an established roster. Your rostered shifts will be confirmed to you when arranging your start date.

We will consider requests to work alternative hours or vary working patterns in line with our flexible working policy.
