We are looking to recruit a Rehabilitation Officer to join the Equipment, Adaptation and Sensory Impairment Service. Our community team comprises rehabilitation officers, hearing impaired technical officer, occupational therapists, equipment and adaptations officers and administration support staff. We work with people who have a physical and/or sensory disability helping them to keep safe and independent in their own homes.

You will be responsible for assessing clients who are visually impaired and/or have a dual sensory loss in their own home. As well as providing equipment and advice, you will plan and provide rehabilitation training to enable people with a visual impairment to remain independent within their own environment and provide advice and guidance to their carers. Your expertise will be vital in promoting independence as well as improving awareness of sensory issues with our partner agencies.

Candidates should possess the following qualification:

Honours degree or Dip. H.E / Foundation Degree in Rehabilitation Studies (Visual Impairment) or equivalent rehabilitation qualification.


This is a job-share post the hours are 18.5 per week.
