An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Oxford City and North East Oxon Older Adult Community Mental Health Team (OACMHT) for a Registered Nursing Associate Band 4.

The post is permanent, full-time. The role would operate largely during office hours but we can offer some flexibility with options for occasional late shifts (12pm to 8pm) and weekend working.

The team covers Oxford City, Bicester and surrounding areas, although this post will be based primarily in Oxford City.

They provide a range of services and interventions, including assessment and treatment of serious mental health issues, physical health checks, crisis intervention, and memory clinics to the catchment population.

The team are friendly and supportive, as well as dedicated to providing excellent care and service through evidence-based interventions and research. We work closely with families and carers, as well as other services including social care, who may be involved in supporting our patients/clients who have complex needs. The team enjoy having a range of students learning and working with them and have gained consistent positive feedback over the years.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, in addition to carrying out evidence-based nursing interventions to support patients Mental and Physical Health. The ability to demonstrate experience, knowledge and skills of working closely with carers and other agencies is also required and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

The successful candidate will be provided with a full induction and will have the opportunity to develop their knowledge, skills, and confidence further in relation to all aspects of the post. As well as contributing to service improvements within the team. This is an excellent opportunity for successful candidate to develop their career plan further beyond the Nursing Associate Role. The leadership team, who you will be supported by is committed to continuous development and improvement through supervision, training, reflective practice, peer review as well as promoting staff wellbeing.

If your aspirations are to become a Registered Nurse, Oxford Health will be offering the opportunity to complete further studies to achieve this. This will be an 18 month apprenticeship programme and will be available in both Adult and Mental health Nursing. We have award-winning nurse mentors who will guide and support your development.
