Associate Clinical Director

GP Care is a registered social enterprise, and we have established this key new leadership post as Associate Clinical Director to further enhance our reputation as a high-quality service provider working collaboratively with the NHS to meet capacity challenges exacerbated by the Covid-19 pandemic. We currently provide urology, gynaecology, ultrasound and DVT services across a number of areas in the South West and believe that the time is now right to extend the scope and range of what we do.

As the Associate Clinical Director, you will play a key role in:

  • the development and embedding of our continuous improvement approach
  • driving a culture of patient involvement
  • reducing health inequalities through our service delivery
  • gaining, and maintaining quality standard accreditations (such as Quality Standards for Imaging for our ultrasound service)
  • progressing our ambition to be rated as outstanding with the CQC

We are looking for an aspiring leader with the insight, ambition and ability to progress to an Executive Director level within the next three years and are committed to nurturing and developing the right individual.

As a registered healthcare profession (such as nursing or allied health professional) you will be responsible for providing clinical direction and professional leadership to GP Care’s multi-disciplinary service delivery and further develop an ethos that is centred on patient quality and safety across our Teams.

The successful candidate will work strategically, identifying and leading on key improvement initiatives across the organisation ensuring that these are well aligned to our strategic priorities.

We are looking for someone with gravitas and credibility who can both strengthen our in-house clinical expertise/professional leadership and act as our advocate and cheerleader in the local South West health community and potentially more widely.

First stage of the process will be a Microsoft Teams discussion with the Chief Executive and Clinical Director on the 2nd September 2021 to be considered for second stage assessment.

Second stage assessment will take place on Monday 13th September in Aztec West, Bristol and applicants should ensure they are available for the full day should they be shortlisted.
