As a key member of the Clinical Services Directorate, within NHS Midlands and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit, this role is responsible for supporting and contributing to the leadership and operational management of the MLCSU-wide Individual patient Activity/ Continuing Healthcare Service and delivery of strategic goals. The Associate Lead will manage area Heads of Service and be responsible for the overall effective implementation, delivery and governance.

The post holder will work closely with the Clinical Service Director, senior clinical and business teams of the Clinical Services Directorate, and Heads of Service and local teams to ensure:

  • delivery of safe, consistent and effective IPA/CHC services
  • effective governance and operational management of area teams
  • delivery of strategic goals

The role requires strong leadership and people management skills to engage and build successful partnerships with customers, stakeholders, clinicians, service users and managers.
