An exciting opportunity is available at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust for the post of Clinical Sister / Charge Nurse (Band 6) on ward A4.

To achieve this, we are improving the way we offer support, mentorship, education and training to colleagues at the point of care to ensure they have the necessary knowledge, skills and competence to deliver excellent health care, better outcomes for patients and a positive experience for patients and colleagues.

One way we are transforming this has been by the introduction of Clinical Sister / Charge Nurse posts across the Division of Medicine to provide expert clinical care and advice, we are now in an exciting position to offer these posts on Ward A4 (Medical Ward)

The role of Clinical Sister / Charge Nurse will be to support the Ward Manager and the Deputy Ward Managers by providing clinical expertise and support for junior staff, agency staff and student nurses, whilst providing high quality, evidence based care for all patients, especially those whose condition is deteriorating.

We are looking for outstanding individuals with passion, energy and up to date clinical knowledge and skills and the ability to effectively communicate and support colleagues at the point of care delivery.

The Clinical Sisters / Charge Nurses will work closely with the Practice Development Team and will be accountable to the Ward Manager.

The cost of undertaking a DBS disclosure will be met by the individual. The Trust will meet the initial costs of the disclosure, and you can choose to have this deducted from either your first month’s salary or in instalments over your first 3 months’ salary. The current price of a standard check is £23 and an enhanced check is £40.

New starters to the NHS will start at the bottom of the advertised salary band.
