Band 6

Full Time – 37.5 hours

Salary £31,364 - £37,890

Working pattern: Tuesday to Saturday

Includes a regular weekend day, would consider applicants offering a minimum of 50% weekend cover i.e. two weekends in four

 

Part Time post: 15 hours (0.4 WTE)

Working pattern: Sunday to Monday

 

We are seeking to appoint a suitably experienced and highly motivated Occupational Therapist to join the Orthopaedic Inpatient team in delivering high quality, compassionate care. The Orthopaedic Inpatient team provides care across a number of clinical areas including the Orthopaedic Trauma and Elective wards, Paediatric ward, Day surgery and Fracture clinic.

 

We are seeking a clinician who has gained a broad range of postgraduate experience, including recent work within the Orthopaedic speciality. This role requires the management of a varied caseload of both trauma and elective patients in a busy orthopaedic unit, from preoperative assessment through to rehabilitation and discharge planning. Knowledge and experience of splinting or a willingness to learn is also desirable.

 

Continued personal development is encouraged and fully supported within the team and it is expected that you will have an active role in the provision of supervision and peer support for Band 5 and 6 Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists, Therapy support staff and students.

 

We use electronic patient records therefore prior use / experience will be advantageous.

The cost of undertaking a DBS disclosure will be met by the individual.
