Diagnostic Radiographer (General and Interventional Radiology)


We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 5, Diagnostic Radiographer to join our Imaging team based at The London Clinic’s main hospital in Central London, W1G 6BW, with a competitive salary range on offer.


This is a fantastic opportunity for qualified Radiographers looking for a new challenge or final year Student Radiographers to secure a permanent Band 5 post in the Imaging Department at The London Clinic.

Job Profile


As a Diagnostic Radiographer you will assist in the provision of a General X-ray, Theatre and Fluoroscopic Imaging. Training in Interventional Radiology will also be provided, followed by participation in the on call system and weekend duties.


  • Job Type: This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week.


  • Shifts: Monday to Saturday as per roster with participation in on-call and overtime.

Key Duties

  • Act as an Operator under IR(ME)R 2017 regulations, assess clinical justification of referrals to ensure that the benefit to the patient outweighs the radiation risk associated with the examination.
  • Act as a patient and staff advocate by minimising their exposure to radiation.
  • Provide efficient and courteous provision of radiographic services to the departments agreed standards whilst considering the patient’s clinical, physical and cultural needs.
  • To participate in the departmental rota, being flexible in responding to service needs.


Skills &Experience

  • Hold a BSc in Radiography or equivalent.
  • HCPC registered.
  • Recent undergraduate student placement in an Imaging department.
  • Able to demonstrate student rotation through all radiological modalities.
