An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Pharmacy Team as part of our Bank Staff in Solent NHS Trust. Solent offers Community and Mental Health services for Southampton, Portsmouth and parts of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. We are eager to find enthusiastic and adaptable pharmacists to join our team at Solent!

The role will mainly be based in our newly refurbished dispensary in St Mary's Community Health Campus' main building on Milton road in Portsmouth.

The post holder will work in conjunction with the clinical pharmacy leads, dispensary manager, and others in the team to deliver an efficient, high quality, professional and well-coordinated dispensing support service that meets all statutory, regulatory and NHS requirements.

The Medicines Management Department determines the way that medicines are used by patients in the NHS. Getting medicine use “right” has the potential to not only improve patient outcomes but also contribute to patient safety. The Department works across the entire trust to ensure Adults, Children, Physical and Mental Health, Ward and Community Teams are ensuring patients get the maximum benefit from the medicines they need, while at the same time minimising potential harm.
