Temporary Personal Assistant (12 month fixed term contract)

Hours per week: 37.5 to be worked flexibly 08.00am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday

An exciting temporary opportunity has arisen to work collaboratively as part of the Corporate Secretariat providing support the Executive Directors of the Trust for a period of 12 months.

As an experienced personal assistant (PA) you should possess excellent organisational skills and be used to working with senior colleagues in a complex and busy environment. The successful candidate should demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to comfortably liaise with a wide range of people and agencies, both internal and external to the organisation.

Key responsibilities will include comprehensive diary and email management, in addition to producing high quality correspondence and documentation. Arranging and attending meetings is also a key part of the role including agreeing agendas, collation and distribution of meeting papers, minute taking and maintaining up to date action logs.

The successful candidate must be self-motivated, have excellent planning, organisational and analytical skills and have demonstrable experience in providing wide-ranging support as a PA at a senior level.

This is a fast-paced, interesting and demanding temporary role; the successful applicant will need to demonstrate the ability to manage conflicting priorities, meet deadlines and be able to work using their own initiative.

The cost of undertaking a DBS disclosure will be met by the individual. The Trust will meet the initial costs of the disclosure, and you can choose to have this deducted from either your first month’s salary or in instalments over your first 3 months’ salary. The current price of a standard check is £23 and an enhanced check is £40.

The Trust offers free car parking at the Woodside Building (Woodside Building, Moorgate Road, Rotherham, S60 2TY) if your interview is at the Main Hospital Site, which is a five-minute walk from Woodside. You will be asked for proof of your qualifications at the conditional offer stage of your employment. If you are unable to provide evidence the offer may be withdrawn.

New starters to the NHS will start at the bottom of the advertised salary band.
