LAS ST1 Paediatrics

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Paediatric Department as a Locum Appointment for Service (LAS) ST1/2 Equivalent in Paediatrics at Warrington Hospital. The department is looking for the successful candidate to support for period of 6 months.

The post offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a wide range of paediatric presentations and would be of particular interest for those seeking a career in paediatrics or General Practice in the future. The successful candidate will work as part of the ST1-2 rota. The appointee will form an integral part of the Paediatrics clinical rota through the provision of medical cover on the Paediatric wards and Neonatal unit. In addition, the successful applicant will be involved with the admission and assessment of Paediatric emergencies. The appointee will be expected to undertake regular ward rounds and seek senior advice when deemed appropriate. He/she will be expected to contribute to the regular teaching programmes timetabled for post graduates as well as the undergraduates. There will be a requirement to cooperate with all levels of management namely at CBU and senior management level.

This post will cover all aspects of Paediatrics and Neonatology on a 1:8 full shift.

A charge of £60 (Enhanced) will be made by the successful candidate which will be deducted from the first 3 months’ salary. In addition to this, you will also be required to re-pay any future costs that may arise in relation to DBS fees.
