We are pleased to announce a new and exciting opportunity to join our apprenticeship scheme. We have launched ‘Ignite your Future’ to offer apprentice opportunities across many of our unique job roles.


You will have the opportunity to study towards an apprenticeship programme, whilst gaining valuable skills and work experience. The opportunities available are:


  • Donor Carer Apprentice (Blood donation) (Hertfordshire, Portsmouth and/or Taunton locations, Band 3 annex 21) – studying to attain the Level 2 Healthcare Support Worker apprenticeship programme

As the workforce at NHSBT is under-represented by 16-25 year olds we would welcome applications from this age group.

Interviews will be held on the following dates:

  • Portsmouth Team 12th or 13th August
  • Hertfordshire Team week commencing 9th August
  • Taunton Team 10th August

Successful candidates must be available to start on 6th September 2021
