We are seeking motivated and caring Healthcare Assistants to join The Podiatry and Foot Health Service to contribute to the high-quality care of our patients.

We are seeking individuals who have a genuine commitment to care and an interest to undertake ongoing training and development to enhance both their personal and professional skills.

Applicants must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, and be able converse well with patients from all walks of life.

You must possess excellent administrative and time management skills, be computer literate and be able to deal with complex information, complaints and at times, contentious patients.

You will be a dedicated team player but equally you must be able to work independently for the majority of your time.

*** Important information regarding DBS checks *** If the position being applied for requires a DBS check to be undertaken on you, you are required to pay the fee for the DBS check which is £50.00 for an Enhanced check and £30.00 for a Standard check

Staff who are new to the NHS will normally start on the bottom increment of the payscale advertised. From 1st April 2019 new starters to the NHS or those promoted to a new role will be subject to pay progression arrangements as contained in Annex 23 of Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions.

  • Clinical Bank Workers – To ensure professional practice and competence is up to date a minimum of 6 assignments must be undertaken in each period of 3 months and you must attend any training you are notified of. It is your responsibility to provide evidence that your professional practice is up to date.
  • Non-clinical Bank WorkersA minimum of 1 assignment must be undertaken in a 6 month period and you must attend any training you are notified of.
