Do you have NHS experience in a caring role, equipping you to work effectively to support and monitor people who need enteral nutrition (tube feeding) at home?

We are looking for a Dietetic Assistant Practitioner to assist our friendly team in providing services to this group of patients and their families, throughout Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

The post holder will be involved in varied duties, both office-based, and in patients’ homes and other settings.

The role has a strong focus on patient contact and monitoring, and also training for individuals and groups. Office-based duties will include record keeping, data input, monitoring equipment requirements and supplies, and liaising with the companies responsible for delivery of equipment to patients’ homes.

You will work alongside and be supported by the Dietitians working in the service, three Dietetic Support workers and administrative staff.

You will need excellent team-working, communication, organisational and IT skills, along with a passion for working with patients, relatives, carers and other professionals to provide high quality care. Previous experience of working with patients in a caring, healthcare-related field is needed for this post. Experience of enteral tube feeding is beneficial, but not essential.

The post will be based in the Leicestershire Nutrition and Dietetic Service Headquarters, close to the M1/M69 junction. You will need to be a car driver, and be willing to use your car during the working day.
