Highly Specialist Therapist

Exciting opportunities for Therapists to be part of an integrated health and social care development within Halton

‘Halton are moving forward with the exciting development of it’s community health and social care integration. A key aspect of this is the development of an integrated team in the community to support older and vulnerable drawing on our experience of intermediate care and frailty work and the immense work undertaken by all staff during this pandemic

The new MDT will work across Halton Borough providing treatment, rehabilitation, care and support to people in their own homes, designated intermediate care beds and those living in care homes. The key aspect of the service will be an MDT approach to Rapid Response, Hospital Discharge, Community MDT and include Community Reablement and Intermediate Care Beds at Oakmeadow. Comprising clinical nursing, therapy and social care the team will work with Consultant Medical support and primary and secondary care.

All staff will be involved in the development of this service as well as opportunities for ongoing professional development’

We have several therapy opportunities;

  • Highly Specialist Physiotherapists, both full time and part time (29.5 hours)
  • Highly Specialist Occupational Therapists, both full time and part time (29.5)

As therapists you will be employed by Warrington and Halton Hospital Teaching Hospital.

Your base will be within the Halton community settings and there will be an expectation that you will work across the various components of the Halton Intermediate Care Service.

Hours of work will include weekend working and extended hours delivered on a rota basis.

You will be supported by the wider WHH Therapy Team with clinical supervision and training.

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for these jobs.

A charge of £60 (Enhanced) will be made by the successful candidate which will be deducted from the first 3 months’ salary. In addition to this, you will also be required to re-pay any future costs that may arise in relation to DBS fees.
