An exciting opportunity has become available!

We are looking to recruit an Infrastructure Specialist who will report to the Digital Technology Lead and be responsible for the delivery of the warrantied infrastructure for the delivery of the North Devon MY CARE Programme.

If you believe you have the skills we require for this dynamic and forward-thinking programme, please apply now!

Approval has now been granted for a shared patient record between Eastern Devon and Northern Devon as part of the continued partnership and proposed integration of NDHT and RD&E with a go-live date planned for Summer 2022. This is a fantastic investment to improve the care and services we provide for our patients and community. Improving the visibility of information between our teams will also help improve safety and quality through supporting our teams to work together and make decisions leading to better outcomes for our patients.

The post holder will be responsible for designing, testing, implementing and maintain the complex, secure, resilient Wi-Fi, mobile data, LAN, WAN and Server (as required) related work packages supporting the successful delivery of the Programme. They will also be responsible for maintaining network integrity by applying secure solutions within the broader Health and Social Care environment.

The timely delivery and effective management of all digital platforms is key to ensuring that Epic goes live on time and with minimal impact to the organisation and patients. The Epic EPR will be core business system for the Trust and this role is critical to its success. Any delays in the delivery of the warranted environment for Epic would adversely affect the My Care Programme Delivery so delivering to tight timescales will be an essential requirement.

The post holder will be part of a dedicated team responsible for the implementation and management of all of the underlying Digital platforms which includes the application delivery platforms, webservices, printing, authentication and access. Close communication and engagement with both the Digital operational teams and application vendors will be critical to ensuring that the environments and subsystems are appropriately supported and managed.

The post holder will be required to be proactive in terms of responding to issues, engaging in capacity planning exercises, collaborating across the digital teams as well as with Epic, automating processes where possible, and participating in DR and business continuity tests as required

The MY CARE Programme will only be delivered in Northern Devon Healthcare Trust successfully if we establish an enthusiastic, hard-working and dedicated Programme Implementation Team. As part of the team we need to employ staff from all areas of clinical practice, administrative and clerical, and corporate areas such as HR, Service Development and Information Management and Technology.

Should you like an informal discussion about the role, please contact Catherine Pettett at ndht.mycare-recruitment@nhs.net

***Preference will be given to staff with ‘Priority’ and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon.***

DUE TO THE ANTICIPATED HIGH NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS FOR THIS POST WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CLOSE THE VACANCY BEFORE THE CLOSING DATE.

In our most recent staff survey, our staff voted us in the top 10% of NHS provider organisations to work for and we also came out as the top provider in the South West for our overall results. Our patients (through the Friends and Family Test) regularly report an average of over 95% satisfaction with our services.
