Job Title: Sterile Services Supervisor

Area of Work: Sterile Services Unit

Band 4 37.5 Hours/Week

Are you able to lead a team to provide safe, high quality decontamination Service to patients at Daren't Valley Hospital? Are you interested in developing your knowledge and skills in the decontamination and sterilization of surgical instruments?

The Job

Plan and implement with Management staff training of new and current staff to the level of successful completion of all in-house training modules and support all staff undertaking national decontamination training.

The Person

The unit is open 365 days a year. We are a small friendly team with a commitment to high standards and meeting the needs of our customers in the critical area. Without the safe reprocessing of re-usable sterile instruments and equipment patients would not be able to have their operations and outpatients procedures. We are accredited to the Medical Devices Directive 93/42/EEC and ISO13485:2016 and constantly seek to maintain and improve our quality standards.

The Hours

This is a Twilight Shift working 18.00pm to 02.00am Monday to Friday. You will be expected to be flexible and participate in internal rotation if the need arises in the future. You will need to be available for day shifts during the induction and training period.
