NHS North of England Commissioning Support (NECS) works across the UK to support health and social care customers in meeting their strategic and operational challenges; improving outcomes and increasing efficiency.

Our current customers include local authorities, Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), a range of healthcare providers and third and private sector organisations.

An exciting opportunity is now available to join the HR team in the role of Assistant HR Manager, providing services internally to over 1200 staff based around the UK and across a range of customer organisations.

This role is that of a genuine generalist and will require the post holder to be involved in all aspects of the HR service from employee relations to workforce planning and resourcing, HR systems and processes. The post holder will also be responsible for the day to day supervision a team of people carrying out the full range of front-line HR activity for NECS and customer organisations.

The post holder will be required to undertake HR project work, taking ownership for drafting project documentation, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met both through personal delivery and monitoring of others.

In order to be successful in this role you will need:

  • Excellent employment law knowledge
  • Be an excellent and confident communicator, able to deal positively with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Have a strong track record of delivering outstanding customer service
  • Be able to foster a culture of high performance
  • Exceptional organisational skills, able to manage multiple and often conflicting deadlines and priorities
  • CIPD qualified

You will be classed as an agile worker with time spent working from NECS and/or customer sites as well as from home.
