We are looking for a qualified Dental Technician to play an important role as a member of a professional team committed to providing a range of high quality technical work for the department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Orthodontics.

The applicant must possess an HNC, degree or equivalent in Dental Technology and be registered as a Dental Technician with the General Dental Council (GDC). The applicant must be able to understand a variety of work procedures and practices within the specialist field of Dental Technology and or Orthodontic Dental Technology.

The applicant will be expected to assist in the teaching and supervision of other laboratory staff/students, have good communication skills and the ability to manage your own workload. You also will be expected to undertake advanced level qualifications.

You will be expected to attend the leadership development programme, and the Quality Improvement Programme that the Trust delivers. This programme aims to:-

Practitioner level in quality improvement, equipping you with the skills to champion, lead and complete quality improvement within your role

After you complete this four and a half days of training you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities, we offer further in-house courses dependent upon your role and bitesize programmes and leadership apprenticeships at level 3,5 and 7.
