We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the Trust's Switchboard team. We need someone who can help us in helping others and is interested in working in a Telephonist role within the NHS.

The successful candidate will be responsible for answering telephone enquiries for all three hospital sites through the switchboard as part of a patient-focused team. This includes dealing with patients, general public and staff enquiries.

There is a requirement to handle emergency calls and alarm systems whilst being able to work speedily with accuracy and working on own initiative.

There will be occasions where the candidate will work alone work for lengthy periods of time without a break to keep a busy service running.

This role will require the candidate to be part of a rota covering mixed shifts of Early, Days, Lates and Nights. The candidate will be required to cover a service that needs to be manned 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year including bank holidays.
