Northern Devon Healthcare Trust Respiratory Nurse Team is looking to recruit a Respiratory Clinical Nurse Specialist to join a team of highly enthusiastic and motivated professionals dedicated to providing the highest quality Respiratory care to the population of North Devon to work 30 hours per week.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical expertise to the Respiratory Team, as well as working alongside the operational management team to ensure the service meets the Trust performance targets as well as commissioning contracts.

You will require good organisational and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with integrated care partners, as a member of a team as well as autonomously. Previous experience as a Respiratory nurse is essential.

You will be supported by the Northern Devon Respiratory Consultant Team and Respiratory Advanced Practitioner and have access to professional support within the wider Respiratory services. You will have an excellent opportunity to develop clinical and management skills while contributing to audits and research.

Working within a locality based team you will work as the expert in respiratory care, ensuring effective disease management for complex patients with the aim of avoiding hospital admission where possible.

You will need to be able to work in an autonomous way and facilitate effective communication between team members and staff within the integrated locality team and secondary and primary care teams, to promote a culture where care is safe, timely and well-coordinated for patients with respiratory disease in the community
