HOURS:  Part time (22.5 hours)

An opportunity has arisen to join a committed and caring Community Learning Disability Team on a six month fixed term contract. We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Art Therapist to join our team to cover for staff absence on a temporary basis. This means we will need someone who has extensive experience in providing evidence based Art Psychotherapy formulation assessment and intervention and who is able to work flexibly and autonomously within the CLDT.

We need someone with a collaborative approach who has excellent communication skills and experience of working with people who have moderate , severe or profound Learning Disabilities as well as autism spectrum condition. Knowledge and experience of providing support and consultation to families, carers and staff teams is also required and experience in providing psychoeducation as well as a psychodynamic approach is also sought.

In return you will receive experience of working in an enthusiastic, caring and friendly Multi disciplinary team in which Art Therapy is well established and respected. Art Psychotherapy supervision , management supervision as well as informal support will be available.
