A Vacancy has arisen for a radiography assistant in the X-ray department, at Weston General Hospital.

The successful applicant will be required to work 37.5 hours per week in a busy but rewarding environment. The department works 24/7 where weekend working will be required as part of this role. Monday to Friday hours are on a rota basis and are between 8am – 8pm.

A wide range of examinations are undertaken in the department, from routine X-ray to ultrasound, CT and MRI scans. Over 100, 000 examinations are performed each year. The radiography assistant performs an essential role in assisting radiographers and Radiologists before, during and after the X-ray procedure. The role is often challenging but rewarding and since patient care is at the heart of the role excellent communication and people skills are very important.
