Are you looking to work in a new unique and rewarding environment?

Do you want to combine your primary care, acute and emergency nursing skills all in one place? Do you enjoy working autonomously? Do you want to retain your NHS pension?

This is an exciting opportunity to join our nursing team working within immigration. Spectrum Community Health CIC is a community owned, award winning health provider. Our recent success at achieving four new contracts demonstrates our policy of innovation and continuous improvement and is testimony to our committed and talented teams.

As a Social Enterprise our profits are reinvested into our staff and services, and we benefit from being independent, large enough to provide a level of security, yet small enough to be able to make things happen. Our multi-disciplinary teams provide healthcare services to some of the most vulnerable people in our society, from diverse backgrounds, who present a full range of general, mental health and recovery concerns.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, innovative and dynamic registered nurse who is focused on delivering high quality patient-centred care to work in our Short-term Holding Facility. The ideal candidates will have a sound nursing knowledge base, excellent communication skills, an understanding of the complex needs of the residents and be able to work autonomously.

The STHF is located near Manchester Airport and holds up to 32 residents, we have recently moved to a new purpose-built facility and provide 24-hour nursing services. Spectrum Community Health also provide services at HMP Styal and supports the STHF giving staff the opportunity to integrate across both services.

Due to the nature of working in a secure environment, Counter-terrorism Clearance (CTC) is required. Spectrum will put the successful candidates through the full CTC process on appointment. Spectrum’s Terms and Conditions are comparable with those offered by the NHS (Agenda for Change or Medical and Dental), therefore, you will receive an excellent benefits package, including membership of the NHS pension scheme. The post holder will be expected to undertake safeguarding training (Children and Adults) appropriate to their role and adhere to policies and procedures relevant to the area they work in.
