An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 5 Pharmacy Technician to join our team of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and assistant technical officers at our St Georges hospital site.

You will be joining a team of highly dedicated staff whose aim is to provide a patient focused pharmacy service to our service users.

The pharmacy serves 13 in-patient wards which includes a number of medium forensic units. We also provide pharmacy services to local community and sexual health services and country-wide substance misuse and alcohol services.

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic pharmacy technician to join our expanding friendly team to support the provision of pharmacy service across the trust. The ideal candidate will be positive,methodical, demonstrate good communication skills and can work well within a team.

Key duties will include the ordering of medicines, implementation and managment of contracts, reconcilliation and autorisation of invoices, liaising with suppliers, managing stock levels and accuracy technician duties(ACT).

Previous procurement experience is desirable, however not essential as full training will be given. We aim to provide our valued staff with excellent training opportunities in order to become confident and competent within theirjob role.
