Enhanced Primary Care Mental Health Service (EPCMHS)

PRIMARY CARE MENTAL HEALTH PRACTITIONERS – RMN/OT/SW

VARIOUS POSTS AVAILABLE

The Enhanced Primary Care Mental Health Service (EPCMHS) is looking to recruit Primary Care Mental Practitioners to deliver outstanding care to our community. From October 2021, each role will be part of a transformational pilot, offering significant benefits to both patients and staff in the delivery of mental health care. These include:

  • Working closely alongside GPs and Neighbourhood Teams to provide care. Your caseload will largely be referrals from GP practices you are linked to.

  • The autonomy to work with your Primary Care Network and shape your caseload.

  • No complex referral pathways and no discharges, meaning your patients will have easier access to the care they need.

  • Working as part of a self-managing team.

  • Work closely with our Voluntary community  sector partners to shape the community

Requirements:

  • - Qualified as RMN, BSc/DipSW, BSc OT.

  • - Experience in assessment and management of mental health issues, clinical risk and managing own case load.

  • - Ability to build positive working relationships, respecting and valuing others.

  • - Encouraging nature to support others to develop themselves and the service through improvement, innovation and continuous development.

We would welcome applicants from newly qualified staff or Band 5 nurses who may not fit the Band 6 person specification but would like to develop their expertise in a community mental health setting.

Applicant Requirements - Applicants must have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English in both verbal and written formats.

Probationary Period - All new appointments are subject to 6 months’ probation period.

Preceptorship for Newly Qualified Staff - The Trust offers a preceptorship year for newly qualified nurses and AHP's and attendance at preceptorship programmes is a condition of employment.
