Specialist CAMHS in Hywel Dda University Health Board has 5 vacancies for Assistant Psychologists to work clinically with young people and their families in the S-CAMHS service and/or in the Neurodevelopmental Team, which provides assessments for an Autism Spectrum Condition. These posts are full time and fixed term until 30/09/2022, and are part of a waiting list initiative due to increased demand on the service following Covid-19. Part time working may be considered.

The posts will be based at Glangwili Hospital and Hafan Derwen in Carmarthen, and in Withybush Hospital, Haverfordwest, but the post holders will be expected to work flexibly over weekends via a rota, and across different bases over the whole of the Hywel Dda footprint, and across both the S-CAMHS locality teams and Neurodevelopmental Team, as service need requires.

Supervision will be from qualified clinical psychologists. The S-CAMHS service uses the Choice and Partnership Approach as its model of service delivery and the post-holder will be required to provide sessions for Partnership work within the team, as well as assisting with projects, and assisting with assessment in the Neurodevelopmental Team.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
