This is a Band 5 post - subject to full Job Evaluation.

The Estates Shared Service; Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LPFT) and Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) is looking to recruit a Fire Safety Officer.

The post holder will provide support to the Estates and Facilities service; serving the needs of LPFT, LCHS, and other partnerships. The Fire Safety Officer will be a progressive post with eventual succession to Band 7 ‘Fire Safety Manager’ (subject to qualification/experience). The role is a key member of our team; and will work closely with senior colleagues contributing to the overall delivery of statutory Fire compliance, Trust policy, and Best Value engineering methods/practices; with particular reference to HTM-05.

The Fire Safety Officer will support the Head of Estates & Facilities to ensure that the Trust fulfils its compliance obligations and H&S duties with regards to Fire Safety; ensuring that the delivery of a comprehensive range of high-quality Healthcare services are provided by staff who are suitably-qualified, trained, and fully supported. The services will be delivered in line with all relevant legislation, regulation and guidance appertaining to the field of work.

The post holder will provide Fire Safety guidance, support and advice to Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, Lincolnshire community Health services and to any clients to which the Trust may agree to provide services; ensuring patients and visitors are treated in a safe and appropriate environment and that staff are able to effectively deliver the required care, through the appropriate design and implementation of systems, projects and utilities.

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual with good communication skills and possess the ability to work on their own initiative. Whilst desirable it is not essential that applicants have experience in working in a Healthcare environment.
