The Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust (RD&E) provides Acute and Community services across Exeter and East Devon serving a population of more than 450,000 people. The main hospital site is in the historical Cathedral city of Exeter that has abundant family amenities and beautiful surrounding countryside. An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in the HR Covid Absence Hub of the Royal Devon & Exeter NHS Foundation Trust based at Newcourt House, Old Rydon Lane, Exeter.

As part of the HR Covid Absence Hub you will be conscientious, responsible and self-motivated to provide first line support by telephone and email undertaking a variety of time critical tasks all designed to ensure that staff and managers are supported with any Covid related queries. You will be responsible for providing professional, comprehensive and timely support and guidance to staff, managers and external parties.

You will be confident in your communication both on the phone and by email. You will be required to keep various systems up to date and accurate in your work so attention to detail is essential to ensure compliance and data quality. Ability to multi-task is essential due to the nature of the work.

You will excel in working as part of a team but also be able to work independently to deliver the highest standards of support in line with the HR service offering. An ability to work under your own initiative is therefore also required as is the ability to analyse a situation in order to provide a focused solution.

The role requires you to be pro-active, enthusiastic and willing to learn. It is necessary for you to have the knowledge, training and experience identified in the person specification to undertake this role. The role will be based at Newcourt House which has free permit parking and will also require some working from home.

The post is for 37.5 hours per week which will be required to be worked over a variety of shift patterns from 08.30–17.00 Monday – Friday and 08:30-13:00 on weekends and bank holidays. Please note these hours are subject to change and there may be a requirement to cover alternative hours dependant on service needs. This is a fixed term contract until the 31st March 2022.
