Nursing Associate Band 4 – Rehabilitation Mental Health Inpatient Services

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Registered Nursing Associates to join our Mental Health Rehabilitation Team at Swallownest Court in Rotherham.

Our Mental Health Unit at Swallownest Court comprises of four wards including a Rehabilitation and Recovery ward, two Acute Inpatient Mental Health wards and a 5 bed Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit [PICU].

This post is an opportunity for a newly qualified or experienced Nursing Associate looking to develop their knowledge by working within a mental health rehabilitation setting. You may be currently working in other areas of nursing practice and this would be a fantastic opportunity to expand your nursing skills to include mental health practice.

The Nursing Associate role is relatively new to our wards and has quickly proven to be invaluable, bringing a variety of mental health and physical health nursing skills to the team, working independently under the leadership of registered nurses, delivering a high standard of person-centred care.

We are seeking to recruit enthusiastic and motivated Nursing Associate who have an interest in providing care to adults within an inpatient mental health rehabilitation service. The post holder will be supported to develop your nursing skills and participate in delivering nursing interventions, working as part of the multidisciplinary team and acting as the second qualified, providing support to the registered nurse on duty.

We will be offering the successful candidates a fantastic programme of support and development in this role and plan for our Nursing Associate workforce to keep growing to meet the needs of our patients. There will also be opportunities to develop your competencies and career which can include a pathway to become a registered nurse.
