An exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to work within a specialist multi-disciplinary service has arisen with the City care stroke team. The successful applicant would be responsible for the continuity and delivery of Occupational Therapy interventions for patients who have had a stroke.

An understanding of stroke and the physical, social and psychological impact of this long term condition on the patient and family is desirable.

This is an opportunity to join a supportive and innovative team and to be part of a wider network of Occupational Therapists within Nottingham CityCare Partnership

The successful candidate will join the other 3 other band 6 OT’s in the team in providing

  • Specialist Occupational Therapy Assessment and ongoing interventions to support both patient, carers and wider team; promoting engagement with rehabilitation and self management. Working both in patients’ homes and in City Care rehabilitation service.
  • Informal / formal supervision of other members of the service i.e Assistant Practitioners/Rehab assistants.
  • Teaching and ongoing assessment of OT competencies of support staff and students.
