Bolton NHS Foundation Trust was formed in 2008 and, in 2011, we became an integrated provider with community health services joining the trust. Covering a catchment area that also incorporates parts of Bury, Wigan and Salford, we deliver hospital and community based services from the Royal Bolton Hospital in Farnworth and from 20 health centres across Bolton, to a catchment population of 320,000 people. We have a CQC rating as good overall and we have some key areas of outstanding practice with an outstanding rating for being well led at every level.

1 PART TIME POST – 18.5 hours

BASE: SALFORD LANCE BURN HEALTH CENTRE.

Bolton NHS Foundation Trust is an integrated provider of acute, intermediate and community health care serving the population of Bolton. This provides us with an opportunity for our services to work closely with our partners in primary care and the local authority to ensure a seamless service for our patients.

The Family Care Division aims to deliver the highest standards of care in maternity, sexual health, gynecology and a range of acute and community children’s services. We deliver over 6,000 babies and carry around 1,500 gynecological procedures each year. The Trust also has a tertiary level Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, enabling 1 in 4 women across Greater Manchester to receive in-utero transfer and birth at extreme premature gestation at Bolton.

If you are passionate about delivering high quality sexual, reproductive and HIV services this is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience with a leading sexual health service provider who is part of Bolton NHS Foundation Trust. We provide sexual health services (Sexual, reproductive and HIV) for people in Salford and Bolton in a number of centres and clinics throughout these areas.

The part time (18.5 hrs) post for a clerical receptionist is based in the SHINE sexual health service hub service at the Royal Bolton Hospital. The post involves working over a shift pattern including daytime, evening and Saturday mornings.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a good standard of education, with English and Maths GCSE at grade A-C and some previous experience of working in the NHS. You will have a track record of being keen to develop new skills along with excellent communication and IT skills. You will have a confidence to communicate at all levels as you will be working with a wide variety of staff and patients attending the sexual health service.

You will be involved with the direct provision of front line services to patients and as the first person the patient has contact with this is an important role for the patient’s experience and first impression of our service.
