An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Endoscopy Department for a key individual to lead our Decontamination Service at Royal Devon & Exeter NHS Foundation Trust (RD&E).

The Endoscopy Unit has five procedure rooms and delivers a range of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures in the speciallties of Gastro-intestinal medicine and surgery, colo-rectal surgery, respiratory medicine and urology.

We are seeking for an enthusiastic, dedicated and focused Decontamination Manager, with a mind for quality and a cost effective management and who are committed to providing the highest standards of care for our patients.

As the lead for the department the successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of a specialized decontamination department service in Exeter and Tiverton contributing to the clinical care of the patient. They will manage and lead a team of Assistant Technical Officers and also liaise with the external sterile services on a regular basis to ensure that good working relationships are maintained and that service efficiencies are achieved. They will also be responsible for supervising stores forecasting supply and demand.

The successful candidate will also ensure that decontamination services in Endoscopy are compliant with national guidance and legislation and a robust quality assurance process is in place.

Previous experience in a decontamination environment is essential and you must be a Member of Chartered Institute of Decontamination Science.

Hours: 37.5 hours

 

Salary: Band 6 £31,365 -37,890 per annum, pro rata
