We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and self-motivated Administrator for our Community Paediatrics Medical Services Team (CPMS) in the Portsmouth and Fareham area.

The successful candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills together with IT skills and audio typing. The ability to work to tight deadlines is also an essential requirement of this post. You will need to be a resourceful and organised administrator and capable of delivering high quality administrative support. Knowledge of Children's Services would be preferable.

You will have a caring and courteous manner and enjoy working with and meeting people. You will also need to be able to work unsupervised and display initiative, whilst working autonomously or as part of a team. You will be working within the Community Paediatric medical service and working in liaison with clinicians and families. Duties will include the audio typing of clinic letters, referrals and reports, as well as other administrative tasks such as filing, answering the phone, scanning, photocopying. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who can work effectively using their own initiative. There will also be the responsibility to do supervisions for more junior team members.

The candidate will need to possess GCSE English Language, or equivalent qualification, at grade 4/C or above, and an equivalent typing qualification of RSA II standard, as well as previous administrative experience, preferably in a healthcare or customer based setting but this is not essential!
