The Deputy Head of Clinical Operations and Safety is a key role in the Clinical Hub Senior Leadership team and as such will be a role model for operational team members.

Reporting to the Head of Clinical Operations and Safety (Clinical Hubs), the Deputy Head of Clinical Operations and Safety (Clinical Hubs) has operational accountability for the efficient and effective day to day management and smooth running of the Clinical Support Desk and Frequent Caller and Warning Marker teams (and associated functions).

Working closely with senior leaders across both Clinical Hubs, the Deputy Head of Clinical Operations and Safety will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high quality clinical care, that is provided in a safe and consistent manner across both Clinical Hubs.

The Deputy Head of Clinical Operations and Safety will provide expert clinical advice and support where necessary to the Clinical Hub Quality Assurance Manager and other relevant parties.

The Deputy Head of Clinical Operations and Safety will be the Trust expert in Remote Clinical Triage and associated activities, providing expert advice and guidance to relevant colleagues, ensuring the high quality performance of the function.

The assessment process will comprise of an online assessment week commencing 9thAugust. This will followed by an assessment centre on 16th August. Please note the assessment centre will take place in Exeter.
