POSITION:Permanent, Full Time & Part Time (minimum of 22.5 hours per week)

Service operating hours 8am - 9pm 7 days a week

LOCATION: Home based

SALARY: £25,000 - £31,000 FTE

We are seeking a CAMHS Clinician (Band 5) who is committed to providing excellent mental health care to Children, Young people and their families. The successful candidate will undertake assessments and provide interventions for Children and Young People with a wide range of Mental Health difficulties and write high quality reports. They will be willing to undertake additional training to enhance their skills and knowledge.

  • A core profession (eg. RMN, Social Worker, OT) including registration with a professional body

  • Previous experience delivering brief interventions

  • Experience of working with children and young people

  • Experience working with people with mental health problems and/or other disabilities

  • Knowledge of Risk Assessment and Safeguarding procedures

  • Real passion for supporting people to improve their lives

  • Ability to establish rapport with a wide variety of people and demonstrate respect for service users and their families

  • A desire to become part of a collaborative environment and share knowledge and learning for the benefit of all

  • A curious mind-set that underpins your continuous drive to challenge the status quo for achieving better outcomes

  • Well-developed skills in the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, complex, highly technical and/or clinically sensitive information to clients, their families, carer and other professional colleagues both within and outside the NHS

  • A commitment to ethical practice and adherence to the highest standards of safeguarding of adults/children


  • Training in CBT or equivalent

  • Experience of digital psychological assessment and therapy

  • Experience of working with families

  • Up-to-date knowledge of psychology/ psychological therapy and an awareness and understanding of contemporary issues in the field of mental health
