Wellbeing Advocate (band 5) 37.5 hours

Following a successful funding bid, an exciting opportunity has arisen for the Employee Health & Wellbeing Service to recruit a number of Wellbeing Advocates.

The introduction of a new, Non-Executive role of ‘Wellbeing Guardian’ is a much welcomed and important initiative however, for a large complex organisation such as MFT, with 28,000 staff across many hospital & community sites, it’s not possible for one Guardian to support the entire workforce. We want to develop the opportunities that the Wellbeing Guardian’s role offers to our workforce by creating new innovative Wellbeing Advocates roles that will support local engagement and help to address the needs of staff during challenging times.

The highly motivated Wellbeing Advocates will utilise their excellent communication and interpersonal skills to actively support staff wellbeing and mental health and will lead on connecting services together to ensure that staff are receiving the support, advice and guidance they need to be well in work.

The Advocates will take ownership of their assigned localities having considered conversations with senior leaders about information they are gathering, and the support needed locally. The intelligence and data gathered will continually inform recovery for the organisation and the workforce.

You may be a health professional with a keen interest in workplace health or an experienced health and wellbeing, HR or L&OD practitioner with a passion and the experience in delivering key public health messages; these are exciting times for the Employee Health and Wellbeing Service and these roles are vital role in supporting recovery and ensuring the workforce is supported and psychologically safe.
