These are exciting times for our Health Visiting and School Nursing Service in Newcastle upon Tyne and we want you to be part of it.

We are looking for newly qualified and experienced, innovative Health Visitor’s to join our integrated 0 -19 city wide service in Newcastle upon Tyne. We are able to offer full and part time hours and the flexibility of agile working.

The successful candidate will be part of a highly motivated and skilled workforce, supporting the implementation of the 4-5-6 model to contribute to the provision and delivery of a high quality Health Visiting Service.

We are looking for proactive and motivated practitioners with a strong approach to teamwork to meet constantly changing needs of service users in line with local and national public health targets.

The post holder will be expected to lead within an evidence-based Child and Family centred public health service that focuses on early intervention and prevention, assessing health needs and vulnerability within the family and community. This will involve working in partnership with carers/parents and young people as well as multi-agency working and participation in Early Help pathway and safeguarding policies and procedures. A key priority for the service is an integrated approach to demonstrate positive health outcomes for children and families residing in Newcastle upon Tyne. We are excited to be key stakeholders in the "Collaborative Newcastle" initiative, including Children and Families Newcastle model.

The 0 -19 service workforce have access to regular high quality clinical and safeguarding supervision and appraisal process as part of developing leadership skills and ensuring a quality service. The successful candidate will be offered an induction programme to the trust, mentor/preceptorship programme and ongoing professional development.
