The Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Team at East Cheshire NHS Trust are committed to continually improving patient safety and reducing the risks of Health Care Associated Infections. Our hardworking, pro-active and dynamic team has achieved significant reductions in infection rates, and aims to sustain this momentum.

We are looking for enthusiastic healthcare assistants to join our friendly Infection Prevention and Control Team. The main focus of the role will be within the Covid-19 response team, providing clinical provision of Covid-19 testing across the trust for both patients and staff. However, the role will also be expanded to include further elements of IPC namely screening of micro-organisms for inpatients when required.

Candidates will need to be passionate about Infection Prevention and Control and be committed to upholding the trusts core values. Candidates must maintain a high level of professionalism while being encouraging, supportive and positive to support a service subject to change at short notice. Candidates must have effective communication skills with patients, carers and staff members and be flexible and adaptable. You must be well organised and able to work under your own initiative.

Successful candidates will cover shifts patterns over 7 days per week between the hours of 8am to 6pm.
