Join the new CAMHS service opening at Bere Clinic as a part-time Social Worker and help young people build a brighter future. It’s a great time to join and help shape this new service as part of a new multidisciplinary team and make a real impact.

You will work 18.75 hours a week at the new 12 bed CAMHS service – Bere Clinic in Waterlooville – which opens in September 2021, supporting young people aged 12-17 with eating disorders. With an onsite school providing educational services while the young people are in our care and full multidisciplinary team, it’s a great opportunity to be part of something new and help shape its future.

You will build individual rapports to support people to engage in their treatment plans and collate information relating to service users and their care plans.

With previous experience from the NHS or private care, you will manage a complex caseload where you will be responsible for social care assessments, risk assessments, facilitate group activities, and will contribute to ICR meetings, supporting service users to make viable plans for their future.

This Social Worker role involves:

  • Complete comprehensive social care assessments and reports as required from the pre-admission to discharge stage
  • Liaising with the home authorities at the point of admission and maintaining this liaison function through to discharge stage
  • Collaborating with the home authorities and service users to support families in the decision making/care planning process
  • Contribute to the preparation of reports for Mental Health Review Tribunals, appeals to MH Act Independent Hospital Managers and attending hearings

What you will need:

  • Experience in CAMHs settings
  • CQSW or CSS or Dip, SW,(e), Degree in Social Work
  • AMHP, MSc Social Work
