Snowdon Neuro Rehabilitation Unit, Western Community Hospital

30 hours (0.8 WTE)

We are looking for a well motivated, confident and enthusiastic individual to join the team on the neuro-rehabilitation unit. You will be working as part of a inter-disciplinary team to casehold a variety of complex neurological presentations encompassing physical, cognitive and emotional needs.

You will be an qualified Occupational Therapist and we are looking for candidates who hold a professional registration with HCPC. For this post, you will need to hold a full UK driving licence and have access to the use of a car.

Snowdon is a 14 bedded unit which specialises in the treatment of adults with physical and cognitive impairment following a recent neurological event or a long- term neurological condition. We offer a 24 hour, 7 day a week service, providing specialist in-patient goal orientated neurological rehabilitation. The service includes multidisciplinary assessment and treatment programmes in a specially adapted mixed sex, therapeutic environment.

You will be expected to manage a caseload of patients providing occupational therapy interventions using evidence based, recovery focused and patient centred principles. To ensure that the service provided is high quality, clinically effective and cost effective.

Personal Skills/Qualities

  • Communication Skills, written and verbal.
  • A passion for neuro specific rehabilitation

  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across a range of agencies.
