Crisis / Recovery Lounge Practitioner (Band 5)

As part of the redesign to unplanned mental health services in Doncaster we are able to offer a rare opportunity for motivated professionals to join Doncaster Crisis Resolution Service.

The Crisis Resolution Service is opening a brand new crisis assessment unit (Recovery Lounge). The facility is open 24/7 and provides an extended chair based crisis assessment for 2-3 people who are experiencing acute mental distress and crisis. This will allow comprehensive assessment and formulation to determine if admission is clinically indicated or treatment within the wider community is more appropriate. The assessment unit will offer a safe and low stimulus environment.

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and highly motivated staff to join our busy teams who have a passion and desire to work with individuals in crisis within the community delivering a caring and safe service.

We are looking for passionate, reliable and progressive staff who work within a strength and recovery based approach. Liaison with families and supporting their understanding of crisis management is an important part of the role.

The post will require individuals to work alongside partner organisations, third sector and peer support services, transparency and openness is vital.
