We are looking for enthusiastic, hardworking Therapy Assistants who would like to develop clinical skills in the specialist area of paediatrics.

If you are flexible and adaptable, have excellent organisational, communication and problem solving skills and are able to quickly gain a good rapport with people from a range of backgrounds, we would like you to be part of our team!

This position will be based between Aldershot Centre for Health & Adelphi House in Basingstoke.

The Occupational Therapy team is experienced, friendly and supportive. We are committed to excellence and provide regular staff supervision, opportunities to work with and learn from members of the team and contribute to the on-going development of the service. We have excellent working relationships with early years, schools, health and social care colleagues allowing us to share our expertise more widely and create innovative ways of working together to better meet the needs of the child and their family/ carers.

As an Occupational Therapy assistant, you will gain experience across various settings including community clinics, special and mainstream schools, preschools and home visits on your own or supporting a therapist. A typical day may consist of a combination of:

  • clinical appointments or home visits with children and their families,

  • teaching school or nursery staff to carry out interventions

  • the running and booking of clinics

  • managing equipment orders and requests

  • adjusting specialist equipment.
