It’s an exciting time to join us as we are now expanding and developing our Single Point of Access (SPoA) Service. This means we have a number of opportunities to join our innovative and welcoming team.

SPA is the gateway and first point of contact for Patients and Health Care Professionals for a variety of services across the Southampton and Portsmouth area. These services cover our community nursing, physio and occupational therapy teams as well as sexual health, palliative care and podiatry teams.

SPA is open 7 days per week from 8am to 8pm, including all bank holidays. The successful applicant will be included in the roster to work a combination of early, late and weekend shifts some of which will be eligible for enhanced shift pay rates.

Our Call Handlers are the first-person callers are connected to so excellent customer service and communication skills are essential.

You will be responsible for undertaking initial screening of all calls, booking appointments, making referrals and signposting patients to relevant services. 

To work as a Patient Contact Advisor for Single Point of Access answering in coming calls from multiple Solent services, booking clinic appointments and receiving patient and healthcare professional referrals. Also working within service Key Performance Indicators to ensure calls are answered and dealt with in a set timeframe

As a call centre-based team, candidates must be IT literate with the ability to enter details into our clinical systems in a timely manner.
