Support Worker

37.5 hours week – Monday to Friday

Community Mental Health Services are offering you an exciting new opportunity to develop your skills and experience in community mental health within a progressive and innovative organisation.

If you are passionate about working in mental health and ready for a new challenge working as a support worker in the community then we want to hear from you.

Uniquely located within a primary care setting, you will work closely with service-users, their carers and families and a range of health and social care professionals - including GPs, nurses, health visitors, care providers and our own acute and specialist services - to co-ordinate and review people’s care.

As part of an integrated and supportive service with dedicated psychiatrists, mental health nurses, social workers and occupational therapists, employment specialists and administrative staff, you will be committed to delivering high quality care to improve the lives of people experiencing mental health difficulties and their carers and families and to help maintain their independence within the community. You will also be involved in supporting service users’ engagement in Health and Well-Being Clinics to improve their physical health and mental well-being.

In return, we offer you a protected induction programme, regular supervision, mandatory and additional skills training and Professional Development Reviews to develop you in your role.

North East Lincolnshire offers affordable housing in a pleasant area of the country to live and work. The cities of Hull, Lincoln and Doncaster are within commutable distance as well as easy access to attractive rural areas.

All positions are subject to the receipt of satisfactory references and medical clearance. Evidence of valid professional registration and appropriate DBS clearances will also be required where relevant. All posts will also be subject to successful completion of a 12 week probationary period.
